SFEDI’s vision is:

“To increase the ability of the self employed, owners, managers and staff in small businesses to start up, survive and thrive, through their access to improved learning assistance and the highest standards of small business support provision.”

SFEDI researches national standards of good practice for:

• Learning about Enterprise;
• Business Start Up;
• Business Development; and
• Business Support.

SFEDI works with partners to carry out research and ensure that there are good quality, accessible products, training programmes and qualifications in the market which can help small businesses start up, survive and especially to grow.
